Past Comic Updates
Hawk-21

Here are past comic updates, just so you'll stay in the loop. they will be listed from the most recent to the least, so if you want too read from the very beginning, start at the bottom of each section.

Uncanny X-Men- After having dealt with a mutating Black Tom Cassady (Banshee's cousin), Angel's (formerly Archangel) skin is no longer blue. Chamber has booked, Stacy X is having serious mood swings, Prof X has hired Darkstar (a former member of Alpha Flight (Canadian special ops mutant team that Wolverine used to belong to)) to help teach at the school, and Wolverine, Nightcrawler, and Iceman are their usual selves. And now the big news: Alex Summers, Cyclop's brother is alive and in a catatonic state. I don't know what happened to him but I'm glad he's back.

New X-Men- It has been revealed that Wolverine was not Weapon X (the letter) but Weapon X (the roman numeral), Weapon Ten. He was part of the Weapon plus program, and now Weapon XIII (13 for those out there who can't count), Fantomex, is loose. Also Prof X ( who can miraculously walk again) and several other X-Men are trying to sort through the rubble that was Genosha (Magneto's island country for mutants, that was destroyed be Prof X's twin sister, Cassandra Nova). Will Wolvie's origin be revealed to him, and not just to us in the Origin mini series? or will he remain in the dark? What is Fantomex's powers, besides being a master thief? And will the Afghans ever realize not to mess with Wolverine? At the moment I don't know, but intend to find out.

After much hostility over mutants and Xavier's choice of opening the school to all children (regular human and mutant), a mutant fashion designer is killed and several students at Xavier's school think it's time to protest against the idea of regular humans. They don outfits made by the late designer, take a mutant power enhancing drug, and start going on a killing spree to show that fear truly has a name. And that name is mutant. Can the X-Men stop this violent behavior?

The Amazing Spiderman- Long story short, Some guy stole the technology from Doc Ock's tentacles, and made a few adjustments. He then rampages around town, with the Doc and Spidey in hot pursuit. The battle leads to a hotel which collapses from structural damage, right on Spidey's head. The new guy and Doc Ock, then carry the fight to the studio lot where MJ is filming her new TV show. Spidey eventually crawls from the wreckage and makes his way to the studio. Doc manages to make a large gash in back of the belt that controls the new guy's tentacles. Spidey unloads a whole web cartridge into the system gumming it up and saving the day. Go Spidey!

After a recent adventure through the astral plane to retrieve some street kids who had been dragged there by a former mental ward inmate who had gained some powers of dark magic and needed the kids to stay in the physical world. Dr. Strange had allowed SPidey to go to the astral plane but on one condition: that he stay on the path. To save the children he was forced to leave the path. Now, from the plane, a spider's mortal enemy has come to kill Spidey: a wasp, but not just any wasp, Shathra, a black entity who's sole purpose is to kill Spidey by any means necessary. She has already gone on tv claimingto be Spiderman's ex-lover. She goads Spidey into coming down to the station through insult about his sexual behavior and otherwise. If Spidey hadn't gone it would have been true, but is he had (and did) Shathra (now in a human form) would have given away his identity. Luckily Spidey knocked away from the cameras and into her true form before she could tell. But the whole thing doesn't sit well with MJ, who is still separated from Peter eventhough they are still married. How will Peter ever get her to listen to him?

Peter Parker: Spiderman- Some one has stolen a priceless diamond from a completely secure vault in one of New York's Museums, and the only clue is a silk bandana with a question mark on it, that seems to have been left by a Hindu goddess, who needs Spidey's help. Got all that?

As Peter struggles to lead two lives, one as school teacher and free lance photographer Peter Parker and the other as Spiderman, There is a secret organization that is acting as a paying rehab institute (more or less a job) for the lesser super-villains. Hydroman and The Shocker had been improving their skills until they were basically fired. They realize that there is more to life than trying to live from paycheck to paycheck and attacking Spiderman only for revenge, the miss when it was all about stealing stuff and not revenge. As a last hurray before retirement, they plot to kill Spiderman, maybe then people would remember them.

Spiderman: Blue- I have no idea what's happening in this series anymore, last time I actually received a comic, Spidey was trying to calm down the Lizard (Doc Connor) who was destroying his own lab. Only two comics before that (Spiderman: Blue #1) he was up against the Green Goblin. Now I'm just kinda out of the loop.

Alright, I finally got another issue. I think I'm missing a few. In this one Peter is relating (via taperecorder) some of his experiences early on in life, to his dead love Gwen Stacy. He tell of the time when a man stole the technology of the Vulture's flying suite and used it as his own. He tells how he took both of them out while sick and warring with himself over who he really loves MJ or Gwen. And after Spidey saves Flash Thompson's life during the fight, Flash decides to join the army. well that's about it for this comic.

Fantastic Four- Well, it has finally been revealed that the Yancy Street Gang is not responsible for all those gag packages that Ben gets in the mail. It was Johnny all along. Now to pay for his mistakes and to get him off the couch Sue has given him a job running the Fantastic Four's marketing department. Is Johnny in over his head? Definately. The question is: how will he screw up this time? And some strange entity has come out of one of Reed's inventions claiming to love Reed, and wants to kill every one else. While at the movies, Ben and Sue were attacked by the creature when it popped out of the screen. It has nearly dissolved Sues hand off (thank God for her invisible shield keeping it from dissipating into thin air) and it's taking chunks out of Ben's exoskeleton. What is this creature? And why does it love Reed?

Some strange entity (it's human shapped, except it's a blackish blue color with green symbols and numbers all over it, and it has the power to break molecules and other things down and remove them, so to speak) has come out of Reed's personal PDA claiming to love Reed (because it contains all of Reed's personal thoughts and ideas and feels it's the only one worthy enough to love Reed), and wants to kill every one else. While at the movies, Ben and Sue were attacked by the creature when it popped out of the scree. It nearly dissolved Sues hand off (thank God for her invisible sheild keeping it from dissipating into thin air) and it took chunks out of Ben's exoskeleton. Reed was able to help them out with a few inventions. It next went after Johnny who was making a deal with a fashion company for the Fantastic 4's business (which two associates from the FF company want Johnny to make so that it will embarass him and maybe get him fired). Just before he is about to blow off the deal because the exec for the the fashion co. wants the secret of the FF's costume's unstable molecules (that allow them to use their powers and not destroy their clothes) the creature attackes and nearly kills Johnny. He flys out of there to the Baxter Building (where the FF live) with the creature in pursuit. The other members of the FF join the fight against the walking "equation." But just as it's about to suffocate Ben, Sue, and Johnny after it deleted the oxygen from the air, Reed realizes that an equation is exactly what it isn't. In all of the symbols covering the creature there is not one equals sign. This being is an expression who thinks Reed is its equal. So Reed is now off to find an expression in the PDA world that represents him. Wow, really exciting stuff!

Scion- Ethan, Ashleigh, Skink, Exeter, and Nadia were able to claim the Tournament Isle as sanctuary for all of the Lesser Races. Ethan, with the power of his sigil, was also able to force the Heron (Ethan's family) and Raven(Ashleigh's family) armies away from an all out naval war surrounding the Isle. Unfortunately, the power he exerted knocked him unconscious, and when he came to, he was face-to-face with Bron, the leader of the Ravens. Ethan defeated, Bron in combat, but before he could deliver the finishing blow, Bron was spirited away by Mai Shen, a member of the god-like First. Now Ethan and Co. are left to figure out how all the Lesser Race fugitives and they, will be able to live on the small Isle. Ethan and Ashleigh decide to pay a visit to Ethan's family, where they are met with acceptance by Ethan's mother and sister, but contempt from his father and brother, Kai. After a few bouts of sibling rivalry and Kai's ultimate disowning of Ethan, Ethan and Ashleigh return to the Isle to find it under attack. But by whom?

As I said before, Tournament Isle was under attack. As it turns out it was a band of pirates who thought that they could claim the Isle for themselves. Ethan and Ashleigh arrive to find many members of the Lesser Races who now call the isle home, fighting to protect it. They make their way through the skirmishes and find the leader. Ethan challenges him to a fight and if he wins the pirates have to leave the isle. The leader agrees but under one condition, Ashleigh is the one who fights him. She accepts. A pretty impressive sword fight follows which ends with Ashleigh ramming her sword through the guy's stomach. The pirates leave the isle in shame. Also, in Bron's absence, his brother had been ruling. But mysteriously Bron has returned from the dead, or so it seems. And now has healing powers greater than that of Wolverine. Probably a gift from Mai Shen, who spirited him away from the battle where he was mortally wounded by Ethan. Bron's brother was ready to kill Bron to remain on the throne, but decided against it after hearing that bit of news. And finally, Ethan's father, the Heron king, has decided that he's tired of the fighting between the Herons and the Ravens, and wants a truce. But will Bron accept now that he's back in power?

Meridian- After getting rid of her evil Uncle Ilhan, Sephie is now the minister of both her home of Meridian and Her uncle's city of Cadador. She is making drastic changes in their ways of life, and now the council in Cadador is trying to persuade Sephie to get married. She believes that her love, Jad is dead (which he's not). But where exactly is he? Last time I checked he was being hauled out of the ocean by some fishermen. I wonder where he is now? And Ilhan really isn't dead, so I wonder where he is too?

- After getting rid of her evil Uncle Ilhan, Sephie is now the minister of both her home of Meridian and her uncle's city of Cadador. She is making drastic changes in their ways of life, and now the council in Cadador is trying to to persuade Sephie to get married. She believes that her love Jad is dead (which he's not). He had been staying at a fishing village, but is stuck there until he ships return to take him back to Meridian. Also a group from a city that is mad at the leaders of the city of Cadador attacked Cadador. Sephie tries to negotiate, but at first the city council won't let her. She convinces the men attacking the city to blow a hole through the council chambers to help speed up the decision. It works and Sephie is able to negotiate. But there is a problem. Ilhan's back and he's no doubt out for revenge.

I'll try and find some pics to show what I'm taking about.
