I understand that most of you know next to jack about the background details of most of these comics.
Right now I'm just telling what's going on in the current story arc of each comic. I will have a separate page for previous
comic updates so that you can follow along. Until I find time to fill in all the details, just smile and nod.
Marvel
X-men
Uncanny X-Men- Well, I guess it's been awhile since I updated this one so: To start with, the nurse
who was taking care of Alex Summers now works at the mansion, working as a nurse in the infermary and looking after Alex.
Her son is a mutant, and goes into Alex's mind to help him snap out of it. As it turns out, Alex's mind had been
trapped somehow. The boy's mind becomes trapped too as he helps Alex escape. As the nurse is volently shaking
Alex asking what he has done, Lorna Danes (Polaris), Alex's ex-girlfriend, or maybe ex-wife, who had gone insane shows up
and attacks the nurse with scalpels. Prof. X shows up and stops her. Just then, Alex wakes up but he boy's mind is still trapped.
Prof. X reached down into the boy's subconscious and after much effort is able to pull him free and back to his body.
Meanwhile, a wolf-like species of mutants, claiming to be a higher evolution than mutants begins attacking humans and mutants
alike. The X-men go in to investigate, but Wolverine can't handle them and has to go recover, and Angel and Husk just barely
make an escape. It seems as though they have fatal wounds but somehow when they come to in the forest hey only have
minor cuts and bruises ( and maybe a concussion.) Being too injured to fly and carry someone the two are forced to walk back
to civilization.
New X-Men- The rebels decide to capture Prof. X, hold him hostage, and hold a massiv riot against
humans, on the day that the school was to be opened for both humans and mutants. Unfortunately for them, when they try
to go up against the X-Men they have terrible luck. As a last effort to stop the leader, Quentine, five sisters whose
telepathic abilities combine into one mind, use Cerebra to attack Quentine. The Prof. escapes his bondage but he is too
late, the power from Cerebra begins to overload the sisters. What happens next can only b told in the next issue.
Spiderman
The Amazing Spiderman- After exposing Shathra for what she really is, Spidey is taken to Africa by the mysterious
man Elijah, who is one of a few people who knows that Peter is Spidey. Elijah seems to be trying to prepare Spidey for all
the unforseen but inevitable challenges that he will face because he was bitten by the spider. Shathra follows him to Afica
where they have their final showdown. In this ancient spider archeologica site, Peter waits for her. When she comes there are
no words, just fighting. Peter somehow taps into a power that alows him to subconsciouly communicate with spiders. The spiders
attack Shathra, and she is no more. Spidey hops a plane back to the US,but instead of going to NY City he decides to head
toward L.A. to see if he can work things out with MJ. Ironically, MJ goes to NY to talk to Peter. They miss each other, but
as they head back to their separate cities their planes have to make an emergency landing, and they end up meeting at
that airport. The couple begin to discuss what they can do to fix their relationship. Unfortunatley, Doctor Doom was delayed
in the same airport. Thankfully he doesn't cause any trouble, but the suicide bomber and the people in large robotic suits
who want to free Latveria (The country Doom rules over) do. But Spidey doesn't have to go it alone, as it turn out Captain
America was in the same airport investigating this occurence in hopes of stopping it. They smash some robots and save the
day. In between fighting, Peter has a conversation with MJ where thay discuss how they feel about each other, and how MJ feels
being the wife of a superhero. In the end, they get back together, MJ meets Cap., and they go on a long walk together.
Peter Parker: Spiderman-As it turns out, Hydroman is the one who wants to kill Spiderman, but the Shocker just
wants one last hurray bank robbery, where gets away with the money. Too bad for them Spidey shows up and complately foils
their plans. As it turns out electricity and water don't go well together, go figure. Shocker ends up frying both himself
and Hydroman. Now some sort of corpration or somethng is after Spidey. Using cameras and the Australian villain Boomerang,
they attack Spidey. After taking out Boomerang he notices the cameras and wonders what's going on.
Spiderman: Blue- I don't have a clue about this one anymore.
Fantastic Four- After a while, Reed creates the expression that uniquely represent
him. After getting back he tries to reason with the Modulus, but is doesn't work, in the end he balanced the equation and
Modulus was no more. Then a cockroach from the Negative Zone or some other dimension like it pops up, and is crawling
around the Baxter Building. Reed shrinks Ben to about 1/8 his usual size to be able to crawl in all the small
spaces he large cockroach can go through to deal with it. Meanwhile, Johnny, now in control of the FF company, trys
to make a deal with a fashion designer who would use the unstable molecules that Reed created, for for a clothing line.
The main part of the contract said that they could not try to unlock the secret of how the unstable molecules worked. Stupidly,
thy do and Johnny catches them red handed, but not before the two FF Co. workers who are trying to frame Johnny, tell
Sue all about it. Unfortunately, Johnny's wallet (also made of unstable molecules, but not boobytrapped to capture those who
messed woth it, that had gone missing during the Modulus fiasco) turn up in their lab being tampered with. The unstable
molecules begin breaking down the building and everything else's molecules. Johnny runs to find Sue who he believes can
contain the disaster in an invisble force field so that the breaking down process will cancel itself out withou new molecules
to break down. After telling the whole story to Sue, it works, and the two who would frame Johnny were fired. Johnny and his
secretary (who end up working out an excellent financial plan) are rehired (for Johnny) and promoted (for the secretary).
Meanwhile back at home, Reed and Ben finally capture and get rid of the roach, but only be increasing Ben's size to more than
normal, unfortunatly the machine doesnt work to shrink him back to normal size. As Reed goesoff to clean up the unstable molecule
disaster, Ben decides to fool atound with the machne and ands up shrinking himself to a near microscopic size. Uh oh, guess
I'll find out what happens in the next issue, when Doom returns.
CrossGen Comics
Scion- In an attempt to gain technology to defend Tournament Isle, Ethen and
Ashleigh go with Nadia to her technologically rich homeland, Tigris. Through discussions with their leader, Ethan finds
out that the Nadia and the leader want to form an alliance to take out the Two ruling dynasties, the Herons and the Ravens.
When Ethan and Ashleigh refuse, an account of not wanting to turn against their families, they are attacked by Nadia, who
turns out to be a robot. Ethan takes off many of her limbs and wrecks her outer skin like shell, but in the end
the two are captured. They awake to a cage that absorbs any of Ethan's powers that he hits it with. Nadia returns
completely intact again with the proposal, they still refuse. In a last effort to get out of their cages, Ethan chanels his
energy though Ashleigh to overload the cages. Itworks but it ses off alarms. Nadiaand many guards come running. he two are
able to take them out, and Ethan chops off Nadia's robotic head. They escape to warn their families, who put together a peace
conference.King Dane of the Heron's and King Bron (now returned)of the Ravens come to a peace agreement. The only major condition
is that Ethan's sister Ylena has to marry Bron.
Meridian- I have missed an issue so some of the information is delayed in
the story, but basically what has happened so far is: Sephie's love, Jad, who everyone in Meridian thought to be dead, but
had really been living on an island with he people who had found him floating in the ocean, is desparate for a way off
this island. His only choiceis to wait for the village's fishing boats o reurn from their season of fishing. The fisherman
had to go far away to fish because a sea monster made it impossible to fish off their own coast. Jad becomes determined
to kill the beast after an islander says it is the onlyway for him to leave quickly. The village is mostly left with elderly
people who would be of no use to Jad, besides that they were afraid of the monster. He has go it alone, and he spends
his time stuying the monster and finding ways to out think it. After many failed attempt he comes up with a plan to kill it
in it's own lair. He swims to the lair (he's safe because the beas only eats dead meat) and sets up a large harpoon
like arrow to kill the monster with. But it is too smart and blocks Jad's only exit, so that if it were killed Jad
would not be able to escape. As a last effort in his one and only do or die attempt, he charges up bridge created by
bones and slices a stalagtite from the ceiling, and it nails the monster in the head. Unfortunately that only wounds
it. Jad jumps down the creature's, throat swod drawn. The creature swims from it's cave and comes crashing down dead
on the island's beach. The islanders notice their new forune as Jad cuts his way out of the beast. He is now ready and
able to go home.
